Sooo I'm pretty bored. I got off work about an hour and a half ago. And I'm off tomorrow. What to do what to do. I'm feeling the need to be creative again. Look out. Anita went to Beatle fest. or something like that. Guess it was all about the Beatles. Needless to say I'm listening to the Beatles. So the feeling of boredum and tiredness mixed with the Beatles definitely makes you feel like you're on an acid trip. I think it's time for a pic spam!!! Of new things I have to tell you!!!

The Grove

So Anita, my older brother Arin and I all went to The Grove yesterday for a free show hosted by Donate Life and 104.3. Of course not every show I go to isn't going to be a blast. But after Michelle Branch hit the stage it was worth it. We had a good spot when we got there but then everyone pretty much rushed the stage and we got pushed back a little bit. Towards the end of the show we ended up at the front, go figure. Anyway along with Michelle the guy from American Idol was there. He opened for her. Now I don't watch American Idol, can't stand the show, but I heard thats where he came from. White kid with dreads. He was ok. Pretty much had a country sound. We were surrounded by Asians. Which I didn't expect. But it was brought to my attention that Michelle has alot of Asian fans. And then there were middle aged white women who were Justin or Jason or whatever his name is, his street team. Crazy ass bitches. Talk about a scary obsession to see. They were crazy for him. One of them rushed ahead of us to the front. Bitch. And then another one whacked Anita with her camera. Talk about acting your age huh? Then there was a little asian boy infront of us. He couldn't have been more than 2 and a half. Now I don't like kids so imagine my joy at having him less than a foot from my face when he's waving papers and fans at me. Not only that but he was also throwing grass at me while we were sitting down waiting. Sigh. Needless to see I still had a good time. Took lots of photos. Didn't get too many good ones sadly there were two very tall guys infront of us and they kept moving back and forth instead of just staying in one place. Anyway here are a few...

lottery

So I played the lottery yesterday. I didn't win. That's ok. But it made me think. What would one do with 170 million dollars? well I'd take a 3 lump sum and get 56 million. I'm too impatient to do that payment thing in installments. Anyway what would you do with it? I'd give whatever to my parents so they could pay off all their bills and enough to retire. Say I gave them 10 million. That leaves, 46 million to go. Give some to charities. Some to a select few cause how the hell would i feel with millions of dollars and watching them and seeing them struggle with shit back breaking jobs. Buy a house. Buy a car. Spend thousands of dollars on things I've always wanted (camera stuff). Then what? Lets say I still had 30 million to go. Travel the world. Yeah put a bunch in an account and let it grow. Could you buy the world with this much money...? Or is this just an inconceivable amount of money?

bored

I'm bored. Just trying to kill some time before I gotta leave for work. I'm pretty psyched, Michelle Branch on Wednesday. Today is Saturday. So 4 days. Saw her, or more the Wreckers, a while back with a friend down in L.A. touched Michelles hand :P, creepy man in a trench coat, good times. Charging my camera battery so I should hopefully have new photos up on Thursday, we'll see how close we get.
Tuesday gotta pick up Anita from the airport, the work, then Wed we're heading to The Grove for the free show.
Sadly I won't be getting to go see the Cartographers and Lovers on Monday. I'm sure it's going to be another epic show, but I can't afford the drive (I get paid the day after) and couldn't find anyone to go with.
On the 28th I'll be heading to Anahiem to see Rachael Cantu open for Ryan Cabrera. Rachael's way better :P Probably hang around Downtown Disney for a bit. Kinda bumbed that my Disney pass is expired. Oh well. Maybe I could sign up for one while i'm there :P They have monthly plans now!! Ok well off to go find something to eat before work. Maybe head to Walmart and look for some cheap clothes since I'm poor and my band t's r starting to look faded :(

stencil continued

Sooo I did a stencil. Asked the parentals for some advice and they were wrong. Either they were wrong or I wasn't listening...could be that I wasn't listening....Anyway. It was semi successful. I sadly used my last canvas on it, oh well just gonna have to get more. Here is the successful part:

I know I know it looks super duper gay. Either that or the guy in the middle looks like the chick from the mummy and the guy on the right looks like Shaun from Tegan and Sara. That'd be random. Anyway I wasted my canvas on the "negative" of the stencil. Or more the positive stencil which made the picture come out looking like a negative. And this part of the stencil was the negative that made the picture come out positive. I know right? Simple? Yeah my little brain has such a hard time wrapping around that part. Ergo shitty last canvas ;] OH and btw this is 2/3 of the band Placebo, I couldn't get the other guys head in, the stencil itself was too small :\ But they do look kinda cool on newspaper, the direction of the words kinda make the faces pop.

So I did another one. The damn picture won't come out any bigger. But ya. The spraypaint sprayed under the newspaper so I just sprayed over it. Ended up not liking that so ya. I just cut it out of the tshirt i'll do something with it later. It looks crooked on pictures but oddly in person it doesn't look crooked at all :/ I dunno.

Stencil Update

So I went to Michaels and bought supplies. My Brother talked me into buying a clear plastic instead of buying cardstock for the actual stencil. And I bought some stencil adhesive. A guy on youtube said to buy adhesive 77. But my Brother said not to. :\ So we'll see what happens. And then I bought my first exacto knife. Which came with about 6 different exacto blades. Pretty cool. Sooo we'll see.

stencils

So I'm thinking of getting into stencils...again. I gave it a shot a couple months ago, it was fun. But not all that successful. I've been watching some spraypaint tutorials on youtube. Pretty damn bomb. but probably LOOOONG before I get anywhere near there.

Huntington Beach, Ca

It's Saturday night. I'm at the beach. We're in the middle of a bon fire. Buncha people I don't know, nor do I care to know. Was supposed to be my dads 50 birthday bash, but it turned into a redneck first time beach trip.

We went in the water for about a half an hour. It was freezing at first but of course numbness kicked in after about 10 minutes or so. I went under about 4 times. Took out younger brothers new girlfriend the second time I went under. Was a good day. Avoided the rednecks at all cost. Dad actually seemed to enjoy himself. He's been in a mood for the past week, week and a half, today was the first time he wasn't. It's 9:30 gonna be packing up soon to head home. Looking forward to the warm comfortable seats in the truck.

I am now home and posting this. At the end of the night? I have a blister on each foot and sunburned all over but from the waist down. Not so good. But it was a good day afterall. later blogspot, I'm off to bed to sleep for the next 12 hours.

So it's 2:42 am. I can't sleep. I swear I just heard a gun shoot off about 6 houses up. I don't feel as safe now that my dog isn't hear anymore. Before when I'd get out of the car yeah I check things out before going to the door but I always knew that if I needed to I could jump the fence and she'd be there to protect me. Now I can't do that. I know it's just paranoia about someone hiding in the bushes. But I can't help it. Too many horror movies.

L.A. trips

I'm reminiscing again. Rachael Cantu at the Echo Curio on Sunset Blvd. Intro'd to The Cartographers and Lovers. Two very awesome bands who definitely put on a great live performance. The Cartographers with a great flow from song to song and Lovers with a very energetic band and great execution of each song. The place was filled to the max and then some with people looking for a good time with awesome music. My friends and I spotted a few celebs that night as well, Camilla Gray, who was Rachael Cantu's surprise guest performance, Kate Moennig, and even Clea Duvall. Yeah I know, the place was crawling with lesbians. What can I say, lesbians have great taste in music :P

Its 1:43 in the a.m. And I can't sleep. I've been staying up till the wee hours of the morning the past couple nights and I can't seem to get back on track with a normal sleeping schedule.

The past 2 weeks have been pretty interesting. I learned that my fathers dream job was to be a lawyer. Hard to picture my dad as a suit. All my mom really want is to spend time with her family. My little brother has become a slave to the wage and my older brother has blipped off the radar as far as news about him goes.

And me? Well life continues to flow even though I lost my paddle half way back up stream. Work did a 180 then slowly continued into a 360 finishing off with the continual suckage that is a part time job in a crumbling economy. I am now considering going to school to be an RN. Do I have what it takes? Well we'll find out should I decide to take the plunge. I'm almost 21 years old and I've wasted enough time trying to figure out life and where I want it to take me. My dream and passion won't cut it if I want a bright future so I'm going to have to settle for the next best thing. What that thing is I don't know but I'll let you know when I figure it out.
